Had a huge plate of food. It was this turkish plate of chicken. so good. it is kind of fun to be back in the westend. it was very filling. had some espresso. went for a jog around the entire seawall and feel so good. wow. what a high. i saw bats and the bridge was all lit up. i remembered why i live here. amazing. i also had suraj’s earphones so the music was banging. had a nice bath and called Carlo. We are going to try to go to a movie.

Can’t Sleep

Got more texts from Matt. Woke me up! He is having beers at the Fountainhead. I am surprised I am home on a Thursday. It is probably best though considering I am sick. I should probably try to sleep, though, so I can rise early and check out BCIT classes and do a clean of the place. It isn’t so messy but it should be extra clean. I hate coming home from a trip to a mess. Phyew.. Still a bit sweaty! Bath or no bath is the question… Wish someone would bring me orange juice.

Love

Love my job. Woke up all sweaty and sickly but still managed to have a good morning. Got to class and then grabbed my students and my coworkers students. We walked to Science World and caught a private Aquabus which took us to Granville Island. We had some activities arranged for them when they got there. What a perfect day to be outside. After we went back and had lunch on the grass at science world. Had my TOFFEL class as planned and thank god there was a sub for my night class. Had a job interview for a position at work that I aced. I am sure I will get the position. Went back to Mikes and slept for hours. I felt so much better. Didn’t realize how much time had gone by but I do feel a bit better. Still feel a bit weak not sure if I can do the hike this weekend but maybe something a little more relaxing.

Today

September is my new favorite month. I forgot how great it is. Tomorrow I am taking all my students to Granville Island. We are going to take the seabus then have a picnic on the lawn of seaworld. Should be fun. I have also been watching tons of the office at mikes. I have to download season 4 and 5. Still a bit run down. Off to bed early.

Running Around

Running around. Was up late even though I wasn’t planning on it. Work was fun. I always forget how much I like it. Classes went great. My students are the best. Ran home had a quick bite. Gonna meet Mr. Bean for coffee at gene, then run back to work… busy but enjoying it. Have NKOTB because of Saturday! Damn you Carlo!

Last Saturday of August

Carlo and Anthony convinced me to postpone Portland and took me out for a great dinner. Very nice restaurant. We had really cool seafood to start with. We then went to a party in Kits right on the water. When we walked in there were like 50 shoes. Reminded me of when I moved to Sapporo and went straight to a house party off the plane. Room to room people.  It was a bit uncomfortable. Not my usual type of party.  But I had a very nice time once got settled in. There was a guy named troy who played swedish music for the party. It was hilarious. He helped us feel more comfortable. Spent most of the day just relaxing. One more week of house sitting. Mike left some movies on the desk top so I watched a scary alaskan vampire movie. I didnt see Palin. hope i can sleep.
